Contents
Overview
The Floor is an onchain Wall Street strategy game. You run a trading Desk staffed by Operators - each one an ERC-721 NFT with an Alpha Power rating and a Bandwidth cost. Seat Operators at your Desk and your share of the global Alpha pool earns you a stream of $FLOOR, the game's ERC-20 token. Spend $FLOOR to recruit stronger Operators and upgrade your Desk; most of what you spend is burned forever. Periodically, limited-time Deals open on the tape - route your Alpha in, help ring the Bell, and split the reward pool.
Everything - Desks, Operators, emissions, Deals, the burn, the Recruiting Bonus - lives in four smart contracts on Robinhood Chain mainnet. There is no backend: the app you are using reads the chain directly.
Why Robinhood Chain
Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Orbit-based Layer 2 launched by Robinhood in 2025, with ETH as its native gas token and full EVM compatibility. It is fast and cheap enough that a game where you collect PnL every few minutes actually makes sense - and its Wall Street DNA fits a game about desks, operators, and ringing bells. The Floor references "Robinhood Chain" purely as the underlying network: this project is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Robinhood in any way.
The Floor lives on Robinhood Chain mainnet (chain id 4663) - every Desk, Operator, and $FLOOR balance is real from day one.
The Game Loop
1. Open your Desk - a one-time 0.01 ETH seat fee ("buy your first facility"), one per wallet. The fee keeps bots out and funds the house. Arrive through an invite link and your recruiter is recorded forever.
2. Claim your free starter Operator - a Retail Analyst, on the house, once per Desk. (The Operator is free; only opening the Desk carries the ETH fee.)
3. Seat Operators - seating transfers the NFT into the game (staking). Seats and Bandwidth caps apply.
4. Generate Alpha & collect PnL - your effective Alpha earns a pro-rata share of $FLOOR emissions.
5. Spend $FLOOR - recruit better Operators, upgrade your Desk. 75% of every spend is burned.
6. Route Alpha into Deals - one unit of work, two reward streams.
7. Ring the Bell - when a Deal hits its target or its clock runs out, anyone can ring it. Rewards split pro-rata.
The $FLOOR Token
$FLOOR ("The Floor", symbol FLOOR) is an ERC-20 with 18 decimals and a hard cap of 17,920,000 tokens - a nod to 1792, the year the New York Stock Exchange was founded on Wall Street. A 5% bootstrap supply (896,000 FLOOR) was minted at deployment for DEX liquidity and reserve; every other token enters circulation exclusively through PnL emissions minted by the game contract on a fixed schedule. The cap is enforced onchain.
$FLOOR is a game resource. It is an experimental crypto token with no promise of value.
Emissions: The Halving Schedule
The emissions pool is 17,024,000 FLOOR (cap minus bootstrap). It is paid out on a fixed halving schedule: epochs are 30 days long, the emission rate starts at 3.2839 FLOOR per second and halves every epoch. Roughly 8.51M FLOOR is emitted in month one, ~4.26M in month two, ~2.13M in month three - about 87.5% of the pool in the first quarter, with a geometric tail after. The hard cap is enforced onchain.
Emissions begin only when the owner calls startEmissions() - a one-time, irreversible switch that allows the team to deploy, wire, verify, and announce before the clock starts. Once it starts, it cannot be stopped, slowed, or re-tuned.
The developer cannot change the emission rate - setEmissionRate does not exist. The accumulator integrates the piecewise-constant rate across halving boundaries onchain. Periods with zero global Alpha simply don't mint: those tokens are never created.
Desks
Your Desk determines how many Operators you can seat (Seats), how much total Bandwidth they can draw, and your Prestige multiplier - a bonus applied to all seated Alpha. Upgrades cost $FLOOR and walk you through eleven levels of Wall Street real estate:
| Lv | Desk | Seats | Bandwidth | Prestige | Upgrade Cost (FLOOR) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | Kitchen Table | 2 | 20 | +0% | start |

Operators
Operators are ERC-721 NFTs across five rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary. Each type has an Alpha Power (what it earns) and a Bandwidth cost (what it draws from your Desk). The starter Retail Analyst is free - one per Desk, on the house. Every other recruit costs $FLOOR - costs shown here are the seeded values; the chain is the source of truth.
| Operator | Rarity | Alpha Power | Bandwidth | Cost (FLOOR) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Retail Analyst | Common | 10 | 5 | 25 (starter free) |
| Junior Broker | Common | 25 | 10 | 60 |

Alpha & Alpha Power
Alpha is the resource that drives everything. Your effective Alpha Power is the sum of your seated Operators' Alpha, multiplied by your Desk's Prestige bonus. Seating an Operator transfers the NFT into the game contract; unseating returns it to your wallet and removes its Alpha. Your share of Global Alpha determines your share of PnL emissions - and caps how much Alpha you can route into any single Deal.
PnL
The game streams $FLOOR continuously at the current epoch rate of the halving schedule, split across all effective Alpha on The Floor using an accumulator-per-share model. Pending PnL accrues automatically; hit "Collect PnL" whenever you want it minted to your wallet. The dashboard shows a live-ticking estimate between chain refreshes, plus the current epoch and a Next Halving countdown.
Deals
Deals are limited-time launch pools funded with any ERC-20 reward token. While a Deal is active you can route Alpha into it, up to your current effective Alpha Power. Routing does not reduce your PnL emissions - one unit of work, two reward streams: the same seated Alpha keeps earning $FLOOR while also earning a share of the Deal. Your eventual reward share is your routed Alpha divided by the Deal's total.
Ring the Bell
A Deal ends when its Alpha target is hit or its end time passes - after that, anyone can Ring the Bell (an onchain transaction that fires the BellRung event). Once the Bell has rung, contributors claim their pro-rata share of the reward pool. If a Deal closes with zero contributions, the owner can reclaim its rewards.
Buyback & Burn
Every $FLOOR spend inside the game - recruiting Operators, upgrading Desks - is split onchain: 75% burned permanently, 20% to the treasury, and 5% to the spender's recruiter. If the spender has no recruiter, the treasury receives the full 25%. Combined with the 17.92M hard cap, playing the game continuously reduces the maximum possible supply.
Recruiting Bonus
The Recruiting Bonus is live. Share your invite link - https://<site>/?ref=<your address> - and anyone who creates their Desk through it has you recorded as their recruiter, immutably, at desk creation (you cannot recruit yourself, and your recruiter can never be changed). From then on you receive 5% of every $FLOOR they spend, for life, paid out of the treasury share - the 75% burn is untouched. Your lifetime earnings appear in the "Recruiting Bonus" panel on your dashboard.
League Table
The League Table ranks Desks by collected PnL and seating activity. It is derived client-side from OperatorSeated and PnLCollected events over a bounded recent block range; a full indexer is on the roadmap. Future market-wide events (think "Fed Day") are also on the roadmap as Alpha/Deal modifiers - special Deals, bonus Alpha windows - never as changes to the emission schedule, which is fixed forever.
Adding Robinhood Chain to MetaMask
The app can add the network for you (connect, then hit "Switch to Robinhood Chain"). To add it manually in MetaMask: Settings → Networks → Add a network manually, then enter:
Network name: Robinhood Chain RPC URL: https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com Chain ID: 4663 Currency symbol: ETH Block explorer: https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com
RPC https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com, chain id 4663, explorer https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com. The Connect Wallet button can also add and switch the network for you automatically.
